Well this past weekend we got a chance to go to a cook out for Kolton that his baseball coach had for the team. IT was hot but it was a lot of fun at the same time. We thought it was just a cookout for everyone to get together because of it being the end of the season and starting fall ball in a month, but it was more than that. When we were getting ready to finish eating the coach had trophies made for each kid and gave them a special award with it. It was really thoughtful and touching too. Sometimes you take things forgranted even the lil things like playing baseball. But even that can be much more. When the coach started talking about a kid and the way he was talking we just knew it was Kolton, because if you know Kolton he isn't a kid that sits still very long or likes to stay in one spot for a long peroid of time. But what can I say he's 4 and a boy! Well anyway at the beginnig of the year kolton hadn't played basseball before and didn't know the rules like the others on the team but he never gave up on trying to do his best by the end of the season he was staying on the bases and playing in the outfiled and hitting the ball w/o the tee! So we were pretty proud of him but that is what his coach said also on Saturday, that he loved Kolton because of his heart and he never gave up and he always did his best and did it with a smile on his face. His coach said that he gave Kolton the Big Heart award. And that was the big award, but he said that Kolton did something to him because he touched his heart, and he hopes that he can learn from Kolton because when he wants to give up or do something that he does waht Kolton did keep trying and do his best with a smile.
We are really proud of Kolton as parents alot of you already know the things that we have went thru with him, but Praise God that he is coming thru! He has really been impressing me these past few months on what he has learned what he knows and what he says. God is GOOD!
Well then on Sunday afternoon Kristofer's coach htook his baseball team to the Indianapolis Indians game it was reallyfun for him to go and watch something like that. He enjoys that kinda stuff, and it does help that they won! But kristofer's coach made him a photo album of all that he did during baseball season and wrote a note saying that Kristofer really impressed him with his baseball ability but more than that the way he treated others and didn't make fun of anyone like others did , he was a born leader and that was something to be proud of. But it also helps that Kristofer's coach was a Christian man of God and was an unbeliveable coach.
As a mom it's great to hear good things about your kids that others see, because sometimes when you stay home with them all the time it makes it hard to see!!! but i love them very much and am very blessed to be their mother.
I didn't get a picture of this stuff because i dindt know it was going to happen but I'll post some pics of the boys later.
