Awards

Well this past weekend we got a chance to go to a cook out for Kolton that his baseball coach had for the team. IT was hot but it was a lot of fun at the same time. We thought it was just a cookout for everyone to get together because of it being the end of the season and starting fall ball in a month, but it was more than that. When we were getting ready to finish eating the coach had trophies made for each kid and gave them a special award with it. It was really thoughtful and touching too. Sometimes you take things forgranted even the lil things like playing baseball. But even that can be much more. When the coach started talking about a kid and the way he was talking we just knew it was Kolton, because if you know Kolton he isn't a kid that sits still very long or likes to stay in one spot for a long peroid of time. But what can I say he's 4 and a boy! Well anyway at the beginnig of the year kolton hadn't played basseball before and didn't know the rules like the others on the team but he never gave up on trying to do his best by the end of the season he was staying on the bases and playing in the outfiled and hitting the ball w/o the tee! So we were pretty proud of him but that is what his coach said also on Saturday, that he loved Kolton because of his heart and he never gave up and he always did his best and did it with a smile on his face. His coach said that he gave Kolton the Big Heart award. And that was the big award, but he said that Kolton did something to him because he touched his heart, and he hopes that he can learn from Kolton because when he wants to give up or do something that he does waht Kolton did keep trying and do his best with a smile. We are really proud of Kolton as parents alot of you already know the things that we have went thru with him, but Praise God that he is coming thru! He has really been impressing me these past few months on what he has learned what he knows and what he says. God is GOOD! Well then on Sunday afternoon Kristofer's coach htook his baseball team to the Indianapolis Indians game it was reallyfun for him to go and watch something like that. He enjoys that kinda stuff, and it does help that they won! But kristofer's coach made him a photo album of all that he did during baseball season and wrote a note saying that Kristofer really impressed him with his baseball ability but more than that the way he treated others and didn't make fun of anyone like others did , he was a born leader and that was something to be proud of. But it also helps that Kristofer's coach was a Christian man of God and was an unbeliveable coach. As a mom it's great to hear good things about your kids that others see, because sometimes when you stay home with them all the time it makes it hard to see!!! but i love them very much and am very blessed to be their mother. I didn't get a picture of this stuff because i dindt know it was going to happen but I'll post some pics of the boys later.

8 years ago today!

Well today is our 8 year wedding anniversary I can't believe it's been 8 years already. We aren't really doing anything today because jimmy has to work tonight and it's hard to do things during the week with kids but we are planning on doing something this weekend when we have a babysitter for a while. Well other than that things are going pretty good for the family we are getting ready to go on vacation in a few weeks really excited about that, not about the drive but just to get out of terre haute for awhile. An update on my dad , he's doing the same physically but spirtually there is something going on with him , which is a praise in itself! We have been praying for healing to take place in his body but we never thought about the healing other than the physical part of it. God is doing something in him it's amazing, the other day he started praying for all of us when we were leaving the nursing home , we always pray for him but he said it was time for him to pray for us, and that is n't like my dad. Not saying that he never prayed before but just not like he has been doing. It's awesome to see that side of him, and for the kids to see that. But then he has been talking to my stepdad and he told him that all bitterness is gone and he is ok with everything nothing to worry about anymore which if yoiu knew the situation that was pretty amazing to see. God is doing a healing maybe not the kind that we want but God has taught me thru this it's not about me or what we want it's all about HIM and what He wants to do thru this situation. Everything happens for a reason and we may not know why but God does and it's taught me that we always need to hold on to God's hand and we will be ok. Well that's about it I'll post some pics later nothing really to post now and by the way our lil puppy smokey is doing great getting big and learning what to do and what not to do! it's like haveing a new born all over again!!! Have a great week
