My baby sister got married

Well this weekend we had a big event in our family, my baby sister Ashley got married on Saturday. We are really excited for her and her new husband Jeremy. They have been together for six years and have 3 children together but hey they made it right this weekend and i'm happy for them.
It was a busy weekend getting all the decorations put up at the church and the reception hall but in the end it all turned out beautifully. I was the matron of honor and kristofer was the program and guest book attendant.
It was a happy but sad day for all of us, my dad couldn't make it because he is really sick so what we did is had a viedo played of him saying that he gives my sister away and he said some other things to her, but it was really sad not a dry eye in the building. And before we went to the reception we went to the nursing home to surprise him he really enjoyed being able to see her in her wedding dress and everyone dressed up. we made it thru during the rehearsal we were all crying but we did it.
The reception was a hawain theme so it was really decked out with hawaiwin things, great food and dancing it was a blast. but the next day I realized that i'm not as young as I use to be I was really sore! Well I didn't get to take pictures of the cermony because i was in it and the reception i was to busy but i did take some while we were waiting for the wedding to start so I will share.

Mother's Day

It's been 7 years since my first Mother's Day, man I can't believe it's been that long already. Being a mom is one of the best things that has happened in my life, expect for having Jesus and my husband. There is nothing like it, yeah it's not the easiest thing that I have ever done but it's the most rewarding thing. Yeah there have been really great moments in my life that I will never forget , and that I'm proud that I accomplished those things, but when I held my sons in my arms for the first time that was the best thing that I had accomplished. I always knew that I wanted to be a mom but I never knew that I could love something so much. I sat yesterday looking at old pictures of when my children were first born and I can't even remeber them being that small, they reallydo grow up fast. My mom was right you have to cherish all the times that you spend with them because they reallydo grow up. I miss those times when my children were babies and depended on me for everything, but we are on to a new chapter in our lifes and it's great too. Yeah they are more independant but isn't that what we are suppose to do teach them to grow up and mature and be men of God. I'm amazed everytime that I look at them that they are mine. God has been good to us and I'm thankful to be called MOM. Today I was sitting watching a movie and the boys were playing doing their own thing, and my youngest son Kolton came in there and out of nowhere gave me a hug and kiss and called me HOT MAMA! Yeah sometimes they say the funniest things too. But sometimes we think that our children are growing up, they don't really need me or whatever anymore, but it's not true at all. Thru every step they take they need us to be with them not being dependent on us but just to know that we are there. I'm thankful for everyday that I have with my children and I could not ask for more. HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!

Our ALL STAR PLAYER

Well we are doing alittle bragging on our oldest son Kristofer he did really good tonight on his baseball game! Even though they didn't win, they still did really good. Kristofer caught a pop fly, and then in the same play got a runner out between second and third while he was running. And then scored a run , so he got the game ball. He was really excited and so were we so we wanted to share what happened with everyone. Kolton has a game this week so we will update you on how he does then. No pictures forgot my camera at home, what a day to forget it. Other than baseball there isn't much going on. Jimmy starts playing softball this week also so three of them playing it's going to be a busy season! By the way I"m so excited I got a Mother's Day present early i will post a pic of it later I got a new lawn mower( i know not what you might expect for mother's day but that's what i wanted) . It's the little things in life that make me happy! But now I have to use it and have no excuse for not cutting the grass! LOL Well that's all for now I'll write more later on this week and post some pics of the baseball events!
