Christmas with a broken arm......
Well Christmas is over and I know I haven't written anything since Thanksgiving, but it's been a busy time for us. And it doens't help much that my computer was out of order for two weeks! Well let me tell you about our eventful week and let me tell you we will always remember this Chirstmas!
First of all a few days before Christmas, Kolton decides to jump off the ladder of his bunkbed and break his wrist and cut his upper lip by his nose. So Thursday before Christmas we spent the night in ER and what a fun time that was, then on Friday we got his cast on, which he didn't like very much. So of course we didn't get much sleep those first nights because he was in alot of pain, but I'm glad to say he is doing alot better this week!
Last Saturday we had Christmas at my moms house with my nephew Blake and his sister Andrea and their parents Brooke and Jason. It's always fun times when we all get together. We had a great meal and then opened their presents and then every year someone gets a game that we have to play. And this year it was American Idol. Which was so much fun we were on teams and singing infront of everyone and dancing it was hilarious! I must say that out of us all Kolton had the best dance moves! He was cracking all of us up.
Then on Christmas Eve we had alot of fun first we went to go visit my dad(he's in the nursing home) we opened presents with him and spent some time with him. He really enjoyed us doing that, then we played some games with him, and of cousre I was the only girl so I always got beat! Then that night we went to church for a candle light service which is alway nice to give God praise on His day! It always brings things in perspective. After that we went to Kris and Hannahs for Christmas with the Taylors and it's always a fun time with them! We ate and opened presents and we got to give Karen her present and of course like all the years in the past she cried but it was joyous tears! She got what she always wanted a HORSE! She was so happy and excited.
After that we went home for a long night of putting together toys from Santa and getting things ready for when the boys woke up. Which was at 6 am! Kristofer got a PSP and some games to go with it and some other stuff and Kolton got his Train Table with the trains he loved it and some other things to go along with it. Then we had to go to my moms again for Christmas with her and my sisters with all the nephews fun times once again.
Then we ended our Christmas last night when we visited with Josh, Sara, Nate and Aaron at the Taylor's . It was alot of fun spending time with them and eating really good food. The kids opened some presents and played together and then we all got a chance to play a game too it was fun.
As this Christmas season is past and the new year is about to come, I just thank God for all the things that He has done this past year and what He has brought us through. I know it may not have been great things but God brings us thru all kinds of things. I'm excited about what the new year is going to bring. And we wish all of you a Happy New Year and God bless each of you!
Below are some pics of our time this week hope you enjoy them
